The Dragoon, a martial archetype from Maze Arcana

Greetings Arcanites!

For your viewing pleasure, I present The Dragoon, Rav's Fighter archetype through 3rd level. To date, I've been less than thrilled with the 5th Edition iterations of the Cavalier and I wanted to make a subclass that maintained its effectiveness within a dungeon without the need to swing a footman's lance in a 5-foot hallway.

It should be said, it is certainly no easy feat to balance a subclass focused on abilities designed around horseback but my goal was to create a subclass with versatility instead of a pigeonhole. With that in mind, the Dragoon was made to hoist the very iconic banner fighters of old touted, the skill "To Hit" with greater accuracy than other classes but not without sacrifice. "With great risk, comes great reward". You'll see.

With the first page of this build, and the 5e PHB, anyone watching at home should have enough information to follow right along, for now. But what features may come?

As always, Maze Arcana patrons of the appropriate tier will have access to the entire subclass. We invite you to join the community in helping us keep the show and the development of it moving. At some point in the future, I might release some of these on the DMsGuild but likely not in singular increments.

Thanks for watching, we love you guys, and ENJOY!
